2019 Mazda3 Set to Debut with the New SKYACTIV®-X Engine

2019 Mazda3 LA Debut and SKYACTIV®-X Engine

A few weeks ago, Mazda teased the official announcement of the new 2019 Mazda3. However, since then, news has been a bit quiet. That is, until now. We’re very happy to announce that the redesigned 2019 Mazda3 sedan will make its worldwide debut before the end of the month!

2019 Mazda 3 Los Angeles Debut

The 2019 Mazda3 sedan is set to debut at the LA Auto Show on November 28th, 2018. We’ve yet to get a clear look at the new 2019 Mazda3, but style adjustments to the iconic KODO design as well as technology upgrades are expected to be featured.

2019 Mazda3 SKYACTIV®-X Engine

Not a ton else is yet known about the upcoming 2019 Mazda3 due to its lack of released information. However, the automotive market and the greater public are expecting many changes. Pitched as a revolutionary redesign, Mazda has already begun to tease one new feature that is a huge deal just on its own. That would be the next generation SKYACTIV®-X engine set to replace the current SKYACTIV®-G.

We’ll have to await its debut to understand how dramatically this new engine will affect the performance and efficiency of the redesigned 2019 Mazda3. However, we do know that the standard 2019 Mazda3 will be equipped with a 2.5L SKYACTIV®-G inline 4 engine. This positions the new SKYACTIV®-X engine as a higher trim level exclusive and therefore will likely provide a significant boost in performance over the baseline engine.
